|CHM 2045 - General Chemistry I|
This course is the first of the series CHM 2045/2046 required for science, premedical, and engineering students. An introduction to fundamental principles and laws of chemistry. Topics include atomic structure, bonding, chemical stoichiometry and calculations, states of matter, thermochemistry, periodic properties, and properties of gases, liquids, and solids. Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a C or better or test out on appropriate placement test. Corequisite: CHM 2045L.
